Trump Threatens to "Dock" Air Traffic Controllers: Air Traffic Controllers forced to work (excepted employees), who have been compelled to find temporary work to support their families, are now facing threats from Trump. Trump said in a post on Truth Social Monday (November 10, 2025) morning that he was "NOT HAPPY" with controllers who took time off. "All Air Traffic Controllers must get back to work, NOW!!! Anyone who doesn't will be substantially 'docked,'" he wrote. Trump went on further to say that any controllers who wanted to quit shouldn't hesitate, but would receive "NO payment or severance of any kind!" and would be "quickly replaced by true Patriots."

Trump cannot deny statutorily prescribed severance pay.

Trump does not seem to understand it takes years to train an Air Traffic Controller and they are not easily replaced. This is a continuing pattern of his descent into a complete loss of control panic. It is showing.
